Little Bits

Cooking sunday soups, a new tv stand and framing up some pieces.

This weekend I worked and worked and worked.
I am presently working on a huge piece that explored my family's bizarre-o history in California.
I am communicating back and forth with my cousin to try and gets some pieces put together.
 Its quite the tapestry really.
I am always hunting and searching for another original thought,
some inspiration to marvel at.
Over coffee with a friend I started telling her about my strange family history.
How they settled in California and all the things that happened over the span of 200 or so years.
There are no greater 'characters' in life then those we see every day and the ones that are in our family.
Quite the cast of characters.
My friend very quickly informed me that, right there, in my own family,
is an interesting story that should be told.
Thus began a journey.
The unfolding of my family history and feeble attempts at connecting with historical societies in L.A.
I hope to keep turning over these rocks and uncovering many jems, next stop: Ancestry dot com. Have any of you used it? Useful?

How was your weekend?

Til next time my dear friends.
